NextGen™ in an Office
At Hörmann Nederland’s headquarters in Apeldoorn, three stairwells were fitted with EeStairs’ modular NextGen™ staircase system. This installation forms part of a broader strategy to standardise design quality across Hörmann’s international offices. The architectural brief required a staircase that combined precision detailing, rapid installation and quiet operation within a clean, modern interior.
Each stair was constructed with powdercoated aluminium stringers in RAL 9007, blank anodised aluminium treads with acoustic infill, and clear float glass balustrades. The aerofoil-shaped treads click directly into the stringers without visible fixings, allowing for dry installation and eliminating the need for welding or wet trades. This system enabled the EeStairs team to complete the on-site assembly rapidly, with minimal disruption to other works and full alignment with the construction schedule. For contractors, the result was reduced labour time and simpler coordination.
For architects, NextGen offers a scalable, refined solution that performs acoustically while maintaining visual consistency. The anodised treads provide a quiet, durable, anti-slip surface, while oiled oak handrails introduce warmth and tactility. In Apeldoorn, NextGen delivered both engineering efficiency and architectural clarity, fulfilling its promise as a high-performance modular staircase.
